Three Holiday Settings For Three Holiday Soirees

Hold onto your crushed velvet pencil skirts & sequin embellished blouses ladies, because holiday season is upon us! I mean, not that you necessarily needed Little ol’ Me to tell you that! I’m sure the steady stream of any speciality, caffeinated holiday beverage that’s been coursing through your veins since precisely 12:01am on November 1st has been a glaringly obvious indicator that “Big Red” will be making his way down the chimney in T-minus 47 days from now. But who’s counting…

Three Holiday Tablescapes for Three Different Holiday Parties

Now with the holidays comes the ever so great responsibility of hosting & entertaining, & while this may seem especially daunting to some – I am positively OBSESSED with it! Over the past couple of years, I’ve developed quite the penchant for entertaining – specifically dinner parties because I have officially decided that I love, love, LOVE assembling table settings! SO when Shutterfly reached out to collaborate on a Holiday Tablescape post I was over the moon thrilled to participate!

In my oh so humble opinion, there’s a setting for literally EVERY & any occasion… so I thought that I’d share three different tablescapes tailored to three specific holiday soirees you’re likely to come across over the next couple of months; Girls Night in Over Mulled Wine, Rustic Holiday or Thanksgiving Brunch & the BIG Glam Christmas Dinner itself!

Sounds good? Good, because below are three tablescapes for three holiday soirees! Enjoy!

Soirée One: Girls Night IN over Spiced Egg Nog & Mulled Wine

Okay so for THIS particular gathering, you can totally have a little bit more fun! In terms of table decor for holiday parties with the girls, it’s all about casual & simple, yet flirty, fun pieces with just a little touch of drama for good measure! Because what’s a party without a little bit of “juicy drama” am I right?!

To achieve your Girls Night In setting, look for flirty florals that are a bit more deep & rich in winter colours, & pair it with fun, fresh metallics like this stunning set of rose gold dinnerware!

Note: I love that Shutterfly paired this cutlery with black dinner linens! It couldn’t be a more perfect contrast & it adds a bit of elegance & drama to the setting!

…. & what’s more perfect for girls’ night in than the infamous charcuterie board?! These boards have quite the reputation on good ol’ Instagram – I mean with attention to detail & proper assembly…  they can be pretty darn “picture perfect“, so why not opt for a cleaner, minimalistic table like this one & really let these gorgeous foods be the centrepiece?!

The night is all about good food, good mulled wine & great company… so maximize on that! This particular look will give you a very fresh, modern yet still very festive feel for you soiree!

Soirée Two: Rustic Holiday Brunch

Who doesn’t LOVE brunch?! Judging by my Insta Feed, I’m going to go ahead & guess that the answer is likely “nobody”. Ya’ll love yourselves some Eggs Benny on a Sunday I MUST say – ps. also, guilty – so I’m going to wager that some (if not most) of you will be either attending, or hosting some form of Holiday Brunch over the next month or so!

I love a rustic look for brunch – I feel like it’s a bit more casual & easy going, which couldn’t be more perfect for this specific holiday soirée! Not to mention, greenery is so major right now in the realm of Tablescapes Land & I LOVED that Shutterfly incorporated it into this particular setting. It feels equal parts earthy, organic, natural & festive! Eeep love it!

Now Shutterfly originally created this setting for Thanksgiving – OBVS: note the words Thankful/Grateful – BUT, I totally think this could work for Christmas as well! I mean these two words could not be more synonymous with the holidays!

To create this look for your own soirée, invest in some greenery (I’m thinking evergreens could be the perfect addition or substitute if you’re looking  for something a bit more “wintery”), burlap, neutral linens & elements of holiday stationery would be perfect!

Soirée Three: Glam Christmas Dinner

I created this Christmas Dinner Tablescape last year & I’m still SO incredibly obsessed with it! This setting is just so whimsical, fun & playful! I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again…. the holidays are the one time throughout the whole year where you’re TOTALLY allowed to layer on the metallics, shimmer, glitz & glam… & it is totally one hundred percent socially acceptable to do so. Heck I’d even say it’s encouraged!

I wrote at length about this particular setting last year… you can find it HERE!

So – will you be trying out any of these settings?!

Happy Holiday Planning!
