“Why Use Social Media? Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make, but about the stories you tell”
Okay so as IF I actually needed to say this but Social Media is HUGE – I know, I know… I have developed quite the penchant for stating the obvious but it has literally spawned into this seemingly undying force of nature that shows absolutely zero signs of slowing down anytime soon! And thank actual GOODNESS because it just so happens to be, oh I don’t know, my whole entire life & career!! Now while most people automatically assume that a good 99.9% of my job consists of sitting on Twitter all day whilst carefully curating modertaly witty Tweets (ahem… I’ll have you know it’s actually 96%), there IS quite a lot of depth & responsibilties that go along with the title of being a Social Media Coordinator/Blogger – the most fun? Hosting &/or attending Social Media Influencer Events! SO having just recently hosted an Influencer Event at Ambrosia Natural Foods, I thought I’d give the low-down on tips for both hosting & attending an event such as this! ENJOY! Read More
“Blood is thicker than water, but maple syrup is thicker than blood. So technically pancakes are more important than family”
A couple of weekends ago, I was the absolute LUCKIEST girl in the world, & got to spend my first of two birthday weekends making maple syrup up at the cottage! The sun was shining, the Caesars flowing and the sap was a bubblin’ – it honestly couldn’t have been more quintessentially Canadian if I had tried and it was just perfect with a capital “P”! And I finally got to reap the rewards of all of my hard, maple syrup making labour the other day when I made my very own maple syrup candy – of which I’m sharing with all of you today! Full disclosure: when I say “hard labour”, I actually mean that I stirred the sap twice, and then promptly returned to my ceasar and observed the rest of said maple syrup making session! Read More
“Living on Earth is expensive. But it does provide a free trip around the sun”
Greetings my fellow Earthlings & Happy Earth Day to you all! For the past few days now I’ve totally been racking my brain in a somewhat desperate attempt to drum up SOME form of content worthy of commemorating the place that we all get to call home… AKA EARTH AKA Kind of a big deal. Now while I could have mindlessly listed off various, pretty “nature places” in & around the GTA for all of you to frolic & – let’s be real – take millions of Insta-worthy photos, I thought that it would be much more conducive to the literal survival of our entire species to share a few ways we can go green every day of the year! Because snaps for mankind. Enjoy lovelies! Read More
It’s almost time to bust out that green thumb my friends! Today on the Ambrosia Blog, I’m sharing some of my favourite gardening essentials – from the organic seeds, to the natural fertilizer & what to store them in before transferring your herbs & veggies to the outdoors! Click HERE to read!
“Photographs open doors into the past, but they also allow a look into the future”
I think it’s safe to say that me being neurotic about photos would be a gross understatement – heavy emphasis on both “gross” and “understatement”. And when the time eventually comes where I’ll have to book a photographer for some of life’s major milestones… I can’t even imagine, nor do I want to, the amount of stress & annoyance I will inevitably place upon both myself & those nearest & dearest to my heart. Looking for a photographer within your budget, taste & availability is HARD, so when I was approached by Leanne Ferguson, founder of the new Canadian based, photography app Galaxy Photoz Inc to collaborate, I knew that I immediately had to accept! Why? Because the service that this particular app provides will literally save my future self & the poor souls that will have to deal with me, a whole HECK of a lot of grief! Read More

“Easter Egg Hunts: Proof Your Child CAN Find Things When They Really Want To”
Easter weekend is HERE, & for me it’s one of those holidays that tends to bring the nostalgia factor back in a major way – lying somewhere on the scale between baking cookies for Santa & carving pumpkins on Halloween. Now while it may seem as though children are the core participants intended for that ever so infamous Egg Hunt/Basket extravaganza on Sunday, I’m here to argue otherwise. I mean kids can’t hog ALL the fun ALL the time… SO I’ve been doing a little “hunting” myself & have curated what I believe to be the most perfect adult Easter Basket! Enjoy! Read More
