“Every girl has her best friend, boyfriend, and true love. But you’re really lucky if they’re all the same person”
Ever since oh so hesitantly activating my Pinterest account a couple of years ago, I admittedly have become a bit of a self-proclaimed “DIY demon”. Not that I have, or will, ever reach a “Martha Stewart” level of craftiness, I have undoubtedly developed quite the penchant for all things involving glue guns. So with wedding season upon us, I thought it would be more than appropriate to share three, insanely adorable Eco-friendly, DIY crafts that are perfect for the Big Day!
Three Eco-Friendly DIY Wedding Ideas
Having recently been given the title of being Maid of Honour for TWO weddings this year, I’m starting to appreciate just how costly the “Big Day” can actually be! Eco-friendly DIY’s are a great way to cut costs while simultaneously being mindful of our environment!
Hot Glue Writing on Chippy Painted Bottles – By Stow And Tell U
I mean HELLO, could this not be any more perfect for a rustic-chic wedding centerpiece?! I’m envisioning a sort of country/barn, wedding-esque type of situation. “Stow And Tell U”’ just so happens to be one of my favorite DIY blogs to browse, so I was so thrilled when I stumbled upon this incredibly unique DIY & I’m so excited to share it with all of you today! Personally, I think it would be oh so adorable to write the table number, and then the names of the bride & groom on each of these recycled bottles! Read more here!
Rose Peddle Confetti – Bridal Guide
Say goodbye to the traditional, plastic confetti & opt for the more environmentally-conscious (& fabulous) version of rose peddles, burlap sacks & cardboard! I love the concept of writing “Toss Me” on a piece of cardboard (very Alice inspired), tying it onto the burlap sacks with twine & distributing them amongst guests. It’s unique, yet classic all at the same time! Read more here!
Mason Jar Candles
I’m jetting off to Nashville in a week for my cousin’s Bachelorette Party, but back in January I hosted a “Nashville Planning Party” for the bridal party & bride-to-be! Naturally, I embraced a country-theme for the party & recycled mason jars were my absolute BEST friend!! They are SO versatile! Simply placing several different varieties of mason jars (height, shape etc) amongst flower vases on tables can create such depth and give off a lovely romantic vibe! Try tying the top with burlap for a country theme or filling the bottom of the jar with coarse pink Himalayan salt or shells for a breezy, beach theme! The options are simply endless 😛 BTW, whilst browsing for this post, I stumbled upon these amazing Hanging Mason Jar Lanterns… check them out here!
