“A bride should feel like the most beautiful version of herself”
‘Tis the season for all things “Wedding“. I cannot even describe how positively EXCITED I am for today’s post, because Todd Stewart of Saint Cosmetics is breaking down 5 of the hottest bridal trends for 2016! Enjoy!!! Ps. I need that Pure Romance, berry lip gloss he talks about… like yesterday!
5 Hottest Bridal Trends For 2016 – Todd Stewart, Saint Cosmetics
1. “The Classic” – Polished Look; Less is More
This softer look focuses on glowing, healthy skin. Use a Tinted moisturizer or a soft dewy foundation with just a dab of blush or bronzing powder. Finish with just a touch of mascara and a soft nude or pink lip. Keep it natural and let the beauty of the bride stand out.
2. “White Fairy” – Ethereal Look; Game of Thrones
For a more daring, dramatic look. A white dusty haze on the forehead, eyes (“Blanc” or “What The Frost”) and nose emphasize a bright and beautiful complexion. Apply soft touches of iridescent powder to forehead and nose. Use a soft white eyeliner (Made in Heaven) below the water line or sweep it out for a cat eye look.
Pro Tip: Loose curls create flowing locks for the perfect princess bride.
3. “Peachy Keen” – Coral Lips and Cheeks
Warm, healthy glowing skin with an “almost there” transparent, coral lip. Add cheeks that pop, choose a perfect tone between coral and pink in a matte finish to stay all day (Peaching to the Choir or Get Me to the Altar). Finish it off with a glossy coral lip (“Corralling All Angels”) with just a tap of gloss (“OMG”).
Pro Tip: Keep eyes as soft as possible for a softer look.
4.“Retro Vibe” – Viva La 60’s
Use liquid liner “Diabolical” to create Black Kat Eyes on pearly, iridescent, eye shadowed lids. Frame the eye with white liner below the waterline (Made in Heaven). Finish with a light pink blush for a flattering pink glow (Cheeky Cherub).
Pro Tip: Keep the lips soft and you are grooving baby.
5. “Berry LIPS”
Well blended mauve and pink eye shadows are a must for this look (Blessed in Burgundy Palette). Stop the groom in his tracks with a flawless, velvety face. Get an airbrushed look by applying a wet/dry powder (Invisible Touch) and blend to flawless with a Kabuki brush.
Whatever your vibe is for the big day remember to have fun and feel comfortable with the look you choose. Just be prepared for all those compliments!
